I wanted to run Windows Defender on my SBS2003 server. Wouldn't install until SBS service pack 1 was installed and then I found that remote access to the server was impossible until I uninstalled WD. Obviously I would prefer to have WD installed but I cannot do without the remote access.

I see nothing else to suggest setup is running anywhere. I launched "Windows Installer Cleanup" and I gat a similar message: "Error 1500. Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one" Now I am thinking the problem is not a Windows Defender install problem.
